Teles What?

Yes you heard it right, the highest scoring horse in the Go Rounds won’t feature in this years futurity.

Teles One Moore a bay stud by Teles Again out of the Champion Performer and Producer One Moore Spin scored an event high score of 147 in the second go. Unfortunately the event requires good performances in both go rounds to make the final, it was all over for this talented three year with his very first cow. A little mongrel black ducked back into the herd before Teles One Moore could strut his stuff in the public arena. Trainer/Rider Todd Graham went back in for more and showed a quick glimpse of what the Australian public have in store in future events before walking out after their second cow. The name Teles Again though will be announced on Sunday however when Corey Holden enters the Arena riding another of hos progeny, Cashs Poco Lena. This pairing came second in the Aggregates just half a point behind the flashy RS Chisum roan Koonamarra Spoonfool Of Badge once again ridden by Corey Holden.

The top twenty are now decided for next Sundays final 282 1/2 popints was the cut off with young trainer Bill Carey adding an Open Futurity Final to his regime on top of a Derby Final a few years back. The usual suspects Corey Holden, Todd Graham, Jason Leitch, Phil Dawson, Rob Hodgeman, John Mitchell, Heath Sinclair, Graham Amos and Dean Holden will feature in Sundays grand finale. The name Wheatley will feature too, however Lindsay will be there after husband Aaron’s best performed three year old, Tamarangs A Pink Panther missed the cut by the narrowest of margins – half a point.

Scott Johnson and Grant Quigley will also compete, both trainers have had long and relatively successful stays stateside and are now showiing their potential down under. The only other rider mentioned is Ian Bush one of Australias most succesful Non Pros in Australian Cutting History. He will be riding Stylish Lady Lena a mare by Peptos Stylish Oak.

Peptos Stylish Oak who will feature shortly in the Morning Sun Ranch complete dispersal sale two horses in the final. TR Dual Rey has three progeny, and Bobs Hickory Rio two. Kirrilly Simpkins must be chuffed with her mare EB S Buffel has two progeny featuring in the final, both by Reyn Storm. As a bonus one of her own horses will compete in the final, Katastic ridden by Jason Leitch and sired by her stallion Intricatolena out of Winderadeen Peppys Eve.
